DRIVEN BY LOVE
FOR ANIMALS

Pet Motion was born from a lifelong passion for animals — one that has guided every step of Fernanda Maciel's journey.

After earning her veterinary degree in Brazil in 2012, Fernanda dedicated herself to the world of rehabilitation, pursuing further education and practical training in physiotherapy across France and Brazil, and is currently completing a Master's degree at the University of Lisbon.

At Pet Motion, every treatment is built on scientific evidence and delivered with patience and gentleness — because we believe recovery should be as comfortable as it is effective. Based in Luxembourg, we take pride in offering a personalized and caring approach, tailored to the unique needs of each animal.

We warmly welcome you in French, English or Portuguese, and we look forward to being part of your pet's journey to better health.

FAQs

Do I need a recommendation from my regular veterinarian?

It is important that your pet has been assessed and cleared by your veterinarian before starting physiotherapy. A formal letter of recommendation is not required, but sharing medical history is strongly recommended. Physiotherapy does not replace veterinary care, but complements it, in collaboration with your veterinarian.

Will my pet feel pain during the physiotherapy session?

No. Treatments are always tailored to her comfort and tolerance.

How many sessions will my pet need?

The amount of treatments depend on your dog’s condition, your goals, how fast your dog’s body responds to treatment and the modalities used.

Do you offer care for cats?

Yes, of course. The sessions are tailored to their needs, with a calm and respectful approach.

Is laser therapy painful?

No, laser therapy is completely painless and well tolerated.

Is hydrotherapy suitable for all animals?

Hydrotherapy can be highly beneficial for many pets, but it is not appropriate in every situation. Following a thorough assessment, I determine whether hydrotherapy is appropriate and when it should be introduced as part of the rehabilitation plan.

How will my pet react to the water? Is it cold?

The water is heated to a therapeutic temperature. This warmth helps to relax the muscles, improve circulation, and ensure the animal feels comfortable and relaxed. Most pets adapt very quickly to the treadmill, especially with a bit of encouragement and positive reinforcement.

What is magnetotherapy and how does it work?

It is a non-invasive technique using pulsed electromagnetic fields to stimulate the animal’s cells. It reduces inflammation, relieves pain, and speeds up healing (muscles, tendons, bones). Completely painless, the treatment is so well tolerated that pets often fall asleep during the session.
